Subject: SLS 1.02 hangs
Date: Wed, 30 Jun 1993 17:50:34 GMT

I obtained the latest version of SLS and tried to install it on my 486
without success. The system booted from the boot disk just fine, but
hung after a short while. That is, the system froze after a couple of
minutes and I had to reset it.

I don't think it's a hardware problem because I was able to run linux
that was installed from a older version (couple of months old) of the
SLS package. Does anyone out there experience this problem? Is there
a fixed? The main components of my system include:

                486 33Mhz CPU,
                16 Meg of RAM,
                Tseng graphics controller,
a 220 Meg hard drive, and
                a 3 1/2" floppy drive.

                                Thanks for your help,
