Subject: Image copy of hard drive under Linux

I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a clone copy of a Linux ext2 partition
to another Linux ext2 partition on the same or on another harddrive.

What I am trying to do is copy my IDE harddrive with the full install of Linux to
another harddrive at work so I can run Linux on my 486 at work.

I have already looked at the doinstall shell and that doesnt really give me any
clues, and I'm not sure if dd will work for that. I tried cp -r (and some other options with cp)
and that died every time.

Nothing I have seen in any of the FAQs seems to address this, so any info would be
greatly appreciated

Thanx, Greg
