Subject: GCC 2.4.3 with old make?!

Hi netters!

Okay. I've been using HJ's gcc2.3.3 with libc4.3 until I recently
upgraded to Engel's gcc-2.4.3. It seemed to be fine. Everything compiled
fine without any problem. But today, I noticed that I still had old
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.3.3 directory. Since I had ...i486-linux/2.4.3
with 486 2.4.3 binaries, I went ahead and deleted i386-linux/2.3.3 directory.
Now, my make doesn't work! It still looks for information from that
old directory! But gcc -v gives me

Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/2.4.3/specs
gcc version 2.4.3

while make gives me

make: *** No way to make target `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.3.3/include/stdarg.h'. Stop.

I guess I've been using the old gcc-2.3.3???
And I did symlinked /lib/cpp to ...i486-linux/2.4.3/cpp if it makes any
difference.
So what now? Do I need a new make??

Confused.
