Subject: [Q]: VI malfunction with MCC
Date: Tue, 29 Jun 1993 03:17:01 GMT

After putzing with SLS for a month or two, I installed MCC
(smaller). Among my various other headaches, I find that vi doesn't
seem to work right. If I use it, then suspend it using ^Z, then 'fg'
back into it, it doesn't work right. The screen doesn't redraw
correctly, everything I type shows up even if I'm not in insert mode,
and ':q' is the only thing to get me out -- 'ZZ' doesn't work. This
is quite annoying since I do my programming using vi for an editor.
Anyone have a clue why this happens? vi never worked properly
with SLS, either, but the problems there were less serious.
e-mail preferred because of my schedule, but net answers
welcome of course!

        Thanks,
