Subject: DIP locks my serial port

After using DIP, I am unable to exit -- the program is unable to close
the port. If I kill DIP and connect to the port using kermit, kermit
also times out when it quits and trys to close any open ports. This
behavior seems to be permanent until I reboot.

Any ideas?
