Subject: [Q] VLB Cards (Which ones work? This is nowhere in any FAQ)
Date: Thu, 24 Jun 1993 11:20:46 GMT

Hello Linuxers,

maybe it's the 1000th time this question is asked (but then, why is there no
answer to it?). I read the newest complete FAQ from sunsite, and there was
nothing about localbus, except a line explaining that an ATI VLB card is as
slow as its corresponding ISA card.
So, what VLB Cards work together with linux? Or is a VLB et4000 using the
same driver as et4000 ISA?
I'm looking forward to buy a good VLB card (I know :) not a diamond), so
which one should I be looking for? The et4000/w32 seems to be at a reasonable
price. The card should be compatible to most dos stuff, too.
It would appreciate any answers. I will then make a summary and post it here.

cu
