I was under the impression that the major problems with using 386 boards
were memory above 16m, slow bus and poor interupt response. If this is true then
making an R3000 board with an ISA bus seems a bit odd, unless the new ISA
bus can be made quick and remain compatible. If a cheap but fast 486 is
only a little slower than a more expensive R3000 then what's the point?

If using a 386 or 486 in a new board creates a religous aversion in the
minds of potential hardware guru's well..
