I am also having difficulties with installation of SLS 1.02 on my machine.
I am suffering from the Error 0x04 on LILO boot. I have tried all suggestions
so far made in this newsgroup, and none of them work. ie. I don't have an
ST-01 controller, I have turned off the turbo switch and have removed
COMPACT from the /etc/lilo/config file.
The system currently has SLS 1.0 installed and works fine with that version.
Can anyone offer any other "solutions" ?
Is it likely a boot disk will be made that doesn't use LILO, assuming that
LILO is the culprit ?
System is 386DX-20 with 4mb and Award BIOS, 2 x MFM 40mb and Trident 8900c,
booting from 3.5"" floppy.
