Where do these rumors COME from? :-<
XFree86 1.3 supports the Compaq AVGA. This is a SUBSET of the QVision. While
the QVision boards may work with 1.3 (I don't even know that much for sure),
they certainly aren't fully supported, as that requires a good bit more
programming, not all the details of which are in the databook (a contact
at Compaq is trying to get some answers for me).
In fact, I'd be surpised if 1.3 can do better than 800x600 on an AVGA or
QVision, as ~50Mhz is about the highest dot-clock available until we find
out where the other clock-select bits are.
There is nothing in the XFree86 documentation that says the QVision is
supported. If you don't see it in our documentation, don't claim our
software can do it.
