Hi folks,
I just bought what I thought was going to be an NE2000-compatible ethernet
card. Turns out that it's an NE2100-compat card (they ran out of the 2000's)
with an AMD AM79C960 chip as it's heart. The NE2000 driver does not
detect it, but I'm assuming that it's a single-chip revision of the 2000, and
thus fairly easy to write/modify a driver for...
Has anyone done/started a driver for either the NE2100 or the 79C960? I
will try to get the doco from the local AMD distributor this week, and
would appreciate an outline of the NE2000 programing model with which to
do a comparison.
