        Rather than porting Linux to the R3000, consider porting Linux
to Mach.

        There are already free Mach ports for the PC, MIPS (pmax), i860,
Sun 3 and, I believe, SPARC. In addition to bringing Linux to all of
these architectures, you'd also bring multithreading, multiprocessor,
message passing, and much more powerful virtual memory features to Linux.
