Good Morning,
Well there are companies here in Silicon Valley that the only way that
you can order a system is if you specify the components. There are others
which will gladly customize your system to your needs.
NCA in Sunnyvale and Palo Alto MicroComputers in Palo Alto are examples
of such companies.
Both companies load software into their systems and test them for at least
a period of 24 hours -- what they do with the software is that they
erase it due to licensing issues at the of the test period if you have
not purchase the software.
If you talk nicely to someone in the Valley, you can get a copy
of Computer Currents or Microtimes which advertises literally
hundreds of computer shops. Additionally, Computer Currents has
a service called "Fax A Quote" in which you fax to computer currents
your computer configuration and they in return will fax the request
to dozens of computer shops. The cost to you for this service is $0
As for support I prefer the newsgroup by a far shot.
