Sorry... WHY SHOULD LINUX BE PORTED TO A MIPS ????

I'm using a Mips. This machine and it's UN*X works - in contrast to Linux which
is still heavy under development.
I'm not interested to have Linux on my Mips, even if you give me $10000 to install it !

Let's talk about porting to Mips's and SGI's when Linux is reliable. Not now.

BTW: The speedup someone promised is "wishful thinking".
We have a Magnum 3000/33 (R3000, 33 MHz) here.
It's about 3-5 times faster than my i486/33 with Linux.
