From: harrisd@clacton.barclays.co.uk (David Harrison) Subject: NumLock on Compaq Contura Date: 14 Jun 1993 13:50:42 GMT
I'm running Linux 0.99.pl9-1 (SLS 1.02) on a Compaq Contura 3/25. Everything
is fine :-) except that the systems boots with the NumLock engaged.
This is not a problem when I use an external keyboard at home, but on the road
it's a pain as the Contura has a 'built in' numeric keypad over the "789",
"uio", "jkl" and "m,." keys.
I have a habit of logging in as 'r66t' and utering expletives when I get kicked
off for an incorect passwd. Cracks my colleagues up no-end.
Anyone know how to change the startup behaviour to NumLock off ?
David.
