I have a similar problem under pl9. If I boot dos, then reboot linux
(without a RESET) it will work. BUT, if I run windows, then shut down windows,
then reboot linux, linux will not see the SCSI controller. Same problem
if I used Windows-NT.

RESET seems to ALWAYS clear this condition, so I just adopted the habbit of
hitting it.
