Subject: [BUG] utmp/wtmp in lx99pl8
Date: 14 Jun 1993 14:29:32 GMT

At first, my configuration is:
Hard: AT 386/40 + 4MB RAM + 10MB SWAP + ET4000 + Elite 16 Ethernetcard
Soft: still at lx99p8 (SLS 1.01)
      subnet with IBM/RS6k,
linux-box is mounting 300MB-filesystem from RS6k over NFS

if you say "last" after logging in on the linux-box
you will never see a hostname.
So my output on the linux-box looks like:

udo ttyp0 Mon Jun 14 16:21 - 16:21 (still logged in)
udo ttyp0 Mon Jun 14 16:19 - 16:21 (still logged in)
udo ttyp0 Mon Jun 14 16:18 - 16:21 (still logged in)
udo tty2 Mon Jun 14 15:49 - 16:21 (still logged in)
root tty3 Mon Jun 14 15:46 - 16:01 (00:14)

wtmp begins Mon Jun 14 16:21:29 1993

whereas the command "who" says:

udo tty1 Jun 14 15:46
udo tty2 Jun 14 15:49
udo ttyp0 Jun 14 16:21 (router)

The field with the hostname is empty!
A correct entry looks like this:

udo pts/7 theo561.theoret. Mo Jun 14 14:12 still logged in.
udo pts/7 theo561.theoret. Mo Jun 14 14:12 - 14:12 (00:00)
udo pts/1 Mo Jun 14 09:59 still logged in.
udo pts/1 theo561.theoret. Mo Jun 14 09:58 - 09:59 (00:01)
udo pts/0 Mo Jun 14 09:08 - 09:52 (00:43)

Is this is a bug in wtmp/utmp or in "last"-program? However, is there a
chance that this will be corrected? Or is it corrected in lx99p9/10?
