At 56Kbit NFS over SLIP is 'Ok' at 115,200 its bearable. However some better
suggestions. Firstly 0.99.10 supports one of the parallel port ethernet
adaptors. They are slow compared with ethernet cards proper but they are
a lot faster than a serial line. Secondly if you have a linux machine with
ethernet next to it use PLIP.
