Subject: **HELP**: Installing LILO , network, and X Windows

Hi, Dear netters:

I am in the process of installing Linux on my 486DX33 machine. After I
installed the A,B,C,X packages, I tried to book from my harddisk but failed.
I believe I need to install the LILO first. Here are my questions:

    1. How do I install the LILO? Is LILO already in my hard disk after
        the above installation?
    2. I have an NI5210 network card installed but Linux tells me "No
network adaptor detected at boot up". Does Linux support this
card? If not, does Linux support 3COM 3C503TP? How do I install
the network connection? (I can now use the network through DOS.)
     3. I spent quite a time in trying to make the X window work but still
haven't got a clue what to do. Could someone tell me the procedures?

Here is a list of relevant hardware information:

a. Motherboard is 486 VLB, with Intel 486DX33 chip
b. The Video card is Cirrus Logic VLB (SVGA)
c. The monitor is a SVGA 1024 x 768 noninterlaced, with the following scan
   specifications:

              Resolution:640x350/640x480/80x600/1026x768
              Frequencies:
                            Vertical: 47 -- 90 Hz
                            Horizontal: 29--40 KHz, 46--60KHz

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
