You have to edit linux/net/inet/CONFIG.
Apparently the autoprobe code is somewhat broken.
Since ISA cards (unlike, say, Apple Nubus) have no good way to tell the
system that they're there and what they're doing, anything better is,
IMHO, somewhere between good luck (if it works) and wishful thinking
(if it doesn't). ;-)
