Subject: .99pl10 & Term - anyone else having problems?
Date: Fri, 11 Jun 1993 16:39:42 GMT

Is anyone else having problems with term (specifically tredir, ncftp,
and termftp?)

Here is my setup:
 Kernel: .99pl10 (non-ALPHA) w/TCPIP & Net-2 dist
    GCC: 2.4.3
lib[cm]: 4.4
    CPU: 486/DX2 50
    RAM: 4M Real, 10M Swap
Modem: USR Robotics Sportster internal 14.4 fax/data on Com3, IRQ 3
Term: Term v1.07 on both ends - Sparcstation on server end

With .99pl9 (gcc 2.4 & 2.4.3 with libc4.3.3 & libc4.4) term et al
worked fine. Now that I've upgraded to pl10 and net-2, tredir doesn't
seem to work, and ncftp just hangs when trying to connect. I tried
recompiling all the term/ncftp binaries, thinking it might be the
compiler, but no luck.

Tredir (seems to) succeed, but it when I telnet to the port that
should be redirected, it just sits there and waits for a carriage
return, and exits immediately. Netstat on the receiving end show no
connection was established...

Anyone else having this problem? No warnings during compilation of
term/ncftp at all.

Thanks for any info.
