I have tried replacing /usr/include/netinet/in.h with
/usr/include/linux/in.h. This does allow the kernel to compile.
However, I am still having a problem with the X server (X386 from
XFree 1.2) under 0.99pl10 and libc.so.4.4. Whether or not the
kernel is compiled with TCP/IP, the X server hangs shortly after
startup and locks up the console. I have tried starting X from
my serial terminal to see what happens, and it simply proceeds
normally up through initialization and then hangs. The graphics
screen is initialized and cleared but nothing is displayed, not
even the root weave bitmap. I can start X if I boot from the
0.99pl9 kernel and use libc.so.4.4. I haven't yet tried the case
of using the 0.99pl10 kernel with libc.so.4.3.3, but will do so
and report the results.
