Has somebody an answer, why textedit and cmdtool from xview3 can`t manage
8bit-code ??
All other applications work fine with 8bit-Code ( The widgets from cmdtool
and textedit (find, load, save), too ??!!). Only the textwindows would not
work (if I start vi in the cmdtool then it works!):
If I press for example <adiaeresis> it looks like ^^^^^^^^? .
If I display (cat <file>) files with 8bit-code its the same, on all 8bit
characters I become ^^^^^? or ^^^^? .
So, what is it ??
- Is it the bash ?? ( But it's the same with csh. And xterm works fine )
- Is it the ptty ??
- Or how must I configure xview ??
