  It a bit of useful information, but it sounds like someone changed
something in the hardware or firmware of the keyboard controller and
didn't select the correct BIOS option. The fact that the vendor changed
keyboard controllers rather than BIOS seems to indicate a mismatch, but
it sounds like bad confiuration rather than a bug.

  Just my opinion, the vendor may have switched to a different part and
tested only with DOS.
