Yes. It seems to me that most people complaining about volume of c.o.l.
aren't able to scan over the Subject: list a newsreader like tin creates
and pick the interesting ones. This goes hand in hand with, e.g. the
disability to look in a man page like bash and find the paragraph one
is interested in. Or the fear of visiting a library or book shop and
decide which book is worth taking.
I'd call it analphabetism.
