I hate to interrupt on such a serious topic - as who can beat doing
accidently silly things, but as the topic is about require UNDELETE
I thought I inform of my work around.

I have aliased rm=mv and created a Trash directory into which files get moved
to. Then I have a 'crontab' job running (started from my .profile or something
like that) which wakes up every 30 mins or on the hour and checks if the
Trash directory is full as compared to an evironment set variable which
denotes the size of Trash (can) I desire to keep. If it is full then the
Trash directory is purged. One can set the 'crontab' wake up call to be
anytime one desires (Ref crontab, cron). Oh when I logout I knock off the
cron job ( no point in it being active when I am not logged in :-) )

 :-)

Okay I have to admit I have not installed the crontab on my linux drive, and
in truth is the set up on my SUN account. But when I get round to getting
crontab on my linux drive I guess I'll do exactly the same thing.
