Subject: Does Linux support UFS?

For accessing data stored on UFS (Unix File System), one good
choice is to mount that file system.

During SLS 1.01 booting, there is a message shows that

        VFS: mounted root file system.

My questions are:

1) Is ex2fs running under VFS?

2) Does Linux support UFS?

Any comment and information will be greatly appreciated.
