Subject: A1 disk problems when booting
Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1993 05:04:04 GMT

I am having problems with the a1scsi boot disk for my computer.
I have a Future Domain TMC-1680 SCSI card with a 245 meg drive.
This is getting kinda frustrating. Here's what I get when I run
it (from as much as I can see from the top of the screen)

lp_init: lp1 exists (0), using polling driver
Future Domain: TMC-16x0 SCSI driver, version 3.17
Future Domain: BIOS version 3.2, TMC-18C50
Future Domain: BIOS at ce000; port base at 140; using IRQ 5
Future Domain: SCSI Bus Reset
Future Domain: IRQ 5 requested from kernel
scsi0 : Future Domain TMC-16x0
Future Domain: TMC-16x0 SCSI driver, version 3.17
scsi : 1 hosts
Future Domain: Abort code = 3
Future Domain: TMC-16x0 SCSI driver, verision 3.17
Future Domain: BIOS version 3.2, TMC-18C50
Future Domain: BIOS as ce000; port base at 140; using IRQ 5
arbitration (2), target = 0 cmnd = 0x00 pieces = 0 size = 256
sent_command = 0, have_data_in = 0, timeout = 50
in_interrupt_flag = 0
IMR = 0xdfd9, IRR = 0x0000, ISR = 0x0000
SCSI Status = 0x01
TMC Status = 0x43
Interrupt Status = 0x2a (enabled)
FIFO Status = 0x88
Int. Condition = 0x10
Configuration 1 = 0x82
Configuration 2 = 0x04

And then the system hangs, while still reading from my drive. I have
a modem on com 2, a mouse on com 1, neither of which I expect a
problem with. I have a network card on interrupt 3, and a Soundblaster
Pro as well.
        And I have absolutely no idea what is wrong. I am pretty sure
it has something to do with the drive, because I ran the generic a1 disk
that doesn't have the scsi driver, and it got past this, detected the
network card (NE2000), etc, and got my to the system login nd all,
jut without the drive I wanted (hdc). Any ideas? Thanks,
