Subject: Super IDE problem (2 hd => 1 logical)

Hi.
I'm new to Linux.

Recently I bought a new HD, and since I'm using a DC-680 IDE, I linked my
to HD, and got one big HD. Then I installed DOS and OS2 - no problems.
Both saw one big HD, with many heads (32).

Linux - well, it doesn't seems to work - I'm using SLS boot (p.l. 10, I think,
maybe 9). At boot time Linux is "Giving up" and doesn't locate any partition.
Of course - fdisk won't work.

Any ideas ?

I have 2 Seagate 3385A (340Mb IDE) disks,
486DX, 8Mb memory, and Local Bus
Cirrus Logic 5426 (LB),
and : DC 680 SIDE, Local Bus.

The logical disk (C) reports to have 32 hads (which Linux [hd.c] doesn't seem
to like).

BTW: Is there any drivers for the CL card ?

  Tnx, Sunny. (sunny@ramon.openu.ac.il)
