I'd like to use the SVGA mode 100x40 on my linux box.
But this mode is only displayed 50 times a second
although my Monitor and graphic board are able to do this
70 times a second.

A DOS utility called 'dmode' was shipped with my graphic
board (ET4000, 1MB RAM) which fixed it for MS-DOS. But
I like Linux much better :-).

Another problem appears when I exit X (which is displayed
properly) using this SVGA mode. After that my monitor seems
not to be able to synchronize this mode again. It looks terrible
and I have to reboot.

Has anyone a solution? Thanks in advance for your help!
