Subject: Re: Trident 9000 and DTC 3520: do they work with linux?

The Trident 9000 should work with XFree86 version 1.2 or 1.3.
It could be significant whether it is a TVGA9000 or another Trident chip.
Notice the clock doubling for the TVGA9000 in those 256 colour modes.

I have used the following Xconfig for the TVGA9000 in the past.
(probably only the modes line and modedb will interest you:)
(Sorry for the mess -- I experiment a lot with my server.)
