Subject: Emacs woes with SLS 1.02

I'm very pleased with the latest SLS install (release 1.02). It went
much smoother than I remember it going during my last install in March.
For instance, I like being able to select a default screen resolution
during the install, rather than having to run rdev (I didn't understand
rdev, so I never ran it).

Has anyone installing this release had a problem with emacs? When I
run emacs, it gets a segmentation fault and core dumps. No error
messages appear, just the segmentation fault message. I'm very eager
to get it working because I like emacs a lot and I don't know vi.
I had no problem with the last release; emacs never gave me a bit of
trouble.

Please help if you know anything about this. I miss emacs...

SLS 1.02
Linux 0.99pl9-1
486DX 33MHz
Clean install; I wiped away the old one with mkfs

Thanks in advance,
Greg Maier
