Subject: [Q] Linux Joe Editor - WHERE?
Date: Wed, 7 Jul 1993 00:14:21 GMT

I use Linux as my BBS and this it is very good at. However, the
average BBSer has never seen or used a UNIX system and the VI is a
complete stranger. This makes it difficult for them to us.

Luckily, SLS comes with a Joe or Joe's Simple editor. This is
supposedly a Emacs look-a-like but it does have online help. This is a
plus and most users have no problems with it.

I, however, have problems with it and would like the source code to
fix it. It does not recognize (or ignore) the +3 say that the VI takes
(ie. joe +4 file blows up) and this causes a problem with elm and tin.
For the moment, a shell script corrected this.

Anyone know where the source for this simple, but useful, editor is?
FTP preferred. Email please to save on bandwidth.
