Hello Linuxers,

A short question for all you tape gurus out there.

Recently I acquired a 60 Mb tapestreamer plus controller. It has McDOS software
for doing backups and it works !

Now I would like to use this device under Linux too, so I was wondering if
somebody has written a driver for it or has information which allows me to
do so myself.

The tape drive itself is a Mountain streamer and it takes DC600A cartridges.
The label on the drive says : ser.no. IT-9606-60Mb and mod.no 01-02375-01. If
you ask me these two should be swapped. It has a special controller, which just
says Archive, nothing else, it's one of those old very looong cards.

As far as I know, Mountain does not exist anymore, but maybe somebody has some
information lying around somewhere.

Please respond via e-mail and I'll summarize if there is enough interest.

Thanx In Advance,

Arthur
