Subject: 0.99pl10 mysteriously hangs

I've installed Linux SLS 1.02 and upgraded the kernel to 99pl10,
upgraded the GCC to 2.4.0, the libs to 4.4, and fumbled myway
through Net ][... Something I've noticed recently is that
after I've had the box up and running for a day or two,
a simple telnet in from the other unix box will crash the
linux server. (the other unix box is SCO ODT 1.1)

Any one have any possible ideas how/why this would happen?
and possible solutions?
