What does "best" mean? Fastest? Most efficient in terms of space used?

This is just the sort of dumb open-ended question that's gonna start another
round of "FS wars". Jeez, guy, we just barely got through with the 1000-posting
war of "xiafs-vs.-extfs" - I *don't* want to see it start again. Please, be
more specific!
