Looks like you got something wrong. DECnet is a protocol suite
parallel to TCP/IP. For TCP/IP you use SLIP or PPP. These two
transport IP packets over serial lines.

The terminal server is probably using LAT, but it will not let
you access that (LAT is *not* part of DECnet proper.) And it will
probably difficult to impossible to run SLIP or PPP over this.
Plus, you will need someone to configure SLIP or PPP support into
that Ultrix kernel.
