Subject: HELP : booting 0.99pl10 stops after "Reading Tables"
Date: Wed, 7 Jul 1993 19:00:24 GMT

Dear Fellow_netters,

I build the kernel image 0.99pl10. When I tried to boot it today,
it stopped after displaying

        "Reading tables".

I modified the /etc/lilo/config, so that I have the old image too. But
something went wrong, and I'm not able to boot my old image. It crashed
when trying to mount root (/).

I'm stuck !

I have SLS's a1 disk. Do I need to re-install everything ?

I think I goofed up in installing keytables.tar.z. I unziped/tared it in
linux/tools. Was it wrong ?

Also, I think I left the ROOT_DEV in the Makefile as CURRENT.
ROOT_DEV = CURRENT

Please, I dont want to reinstall everything.

Thanks in advance

NT
