The "using old-style ioctl" error means that you're still running
/etc/config instead of the newer "ifconfig" and "route" commands. You
need to set up /etc/rc.net to work with NET-2 correctly. The old
"config" program is no longer used. Follow the NET-2-FAQ and set up
rc.inet1 and be sure that the old rc.net is not run at bootup time.
