I have several problems I can't find answers to.

1) minicom has problem with the last line, this is a known problem I realize,
BUT I compiled ecu and it also has the same problem. It does not under SCO
Xenix under which I also compiled it. How do I fix this??? Are there other
decent text-mode (non-X) modem programs (kermit and xcomm are not considered
decent)

2) Since I updated to kernal patch level 10, my screen has sparkled. What I
mean is that from time to time tiny white dots appear and disappear on the
screen. "Sparklies" are what I heard someone else call them once. I have a
AMI motherboard and a Cirrus Logic 5422(I think that is the right number)
SVGA card. This happens every 5-10 minutes or so. Could this be a hardware
problem?? Has anyone else experienced this???
This never occured with kernals patchlevel 6-9.

3) Where is the source code for the login program that uses the
/etc/login.defs file. SLS includes a login.defs file, but it doesn't seem to
read it. I got the poeigl package and did not appear to be the same one. It
did not seem to use that config file at least.

4) bash gives me the following error a lot. getwd: cannot access parent
directory. Why? What do I need to change? Does the source need a patch?
Do I have some permissions set wrong???
This happens most when using the man command. It occurs both as root and as
a non-root user, but only when reformatting man pages. It doesn't seem to
affect the results any. (I have man 1.1 installed suid daemon.)

5) Speaking of man, are there any other man packages availaible?? That one
has so many loose pointers setting around, it is amazing it works at all! It
took a lot of work to get to compile, and then many more changes to avoid the
core dumps.

Thanks, Jeremy
