Subject: [Q] TCP/IP connection via DECNET over phone line
Date: 7 Jul 1993 01:12:55 GMT

Hi,

I installed Linux on 386DX-33 with 4M memory and was quite satisfied
with it except X-windows. What I am now interested in is the possibility
of TCP/IP connection via DECNET over serial line(9600 bps).

In the course of making connection to my school's host machine
(DECstation 5000 series(Ultrix machine)), I always have to pass
DEC terminal server.

Could someone let me know whether I can make TCP/IP connection or
how I can detour DECNET for the connection between my PC and host
machine ? Thanks in advance.
