Is it possible to get a 640x350 (2, 4, or 16 color) graphics mode to
to work with Xfree? I have heard that Xfree can work on an EGA card,
but I don't know if they refer to 640x350 pixel resolution or 640x480 pixel
resolution? Unfortunately, anything greater than 350 pixels wide, causes the
picture on my monitor to go haywire. Yes, I have tried setting the 'Chipset
"generic"' like several people have suggested but it still doesn't work. I've
also tried setting up Xega but have also been unsuccesfull. If it is possible
to get an X11 up an running on an EGA graphics card, can someone please
show me how? This is getting quite frustraiting! =( I am running 0.99pl10
kernel, xfree 1.3, and lib 4.4.1 with 5 MB ram and 10 MB swap. Thanks in
advance.
