Since I am the author of fvwm and maintainer or rxvt, I guess I should
comment...
The version of fvwm and rxvt which is available by ftp from sunsite
and tsx-11, is quite old, and has a number of bugs. I will make up a
new release in the next week or so, and put it in the usual places.
The current release still has a few pesky bugs, which I will fix
sooner or later:
1. SOmeone said that rxvt doesn't compile with libc-4.4.1
2. Another report of a problem with a few tcl/tk windows
and fvwm
I will look into these when my linux computer gets back from being
repaired, but I will release the package anyway. rxvt does, at a
minimum work with libc-4.4.
