Since I wrote this, I may as well correct it...

[this follows a note saying not to vote until the official CFV is posted]

Well, it *usually* takes a few days for a (Call for Votes) CFV to get posted.
Dave Lawrence (moderator, news.announce.newgroups) got this one through in
record time - it was posted 9 hours after I mailed it to him. (!!!)

So, in case anyone was waiting for my Friday guess, allow me to correct
myself: voting on the comp.os.linux reorganization has started. The official
CFV should still be in your news spool, dated July 3. If you can't find it,
don't worry. I will post a 2nd CFV at the end of the week. There will also
be a 3rd CFV later in the voting period.

For anyone who really wants it now, I've set up a mail-reply program at
   cfv-request@uts.amdahl.com
to answer the inevitable flood of requests like, "could you send me a copy
of the CFV?" Just send it a message and it will mail you a copy of the
official CFV as it was posted by Dave. The program won't read your message
so you don't have to say anything in it.
