Subject: [QUESTION]: AMI motherboard experiences sought.
Date: Mon, 5 Jul 1993 09:41:18 GMT

I am about to upgrade my 386 motherboard and thought I would check
this group to see if anyone had any wisdom regarding the following
two motherboards:

The AMI Enterprise III (or II) EISA motherboard with 486
The AMI Super Voyager ISA motherboard with 486

I believe that Linux doesn't take advantage of EISA at the moment.
Is anyone using the Enterprise successfully? I would be
interested to hear how it works if so.

Not strictly related to Linux, but any advice on the pros/cons of the
486dx50 vs 486dx/2 66 cpu would also be much appreciated.

My apologies if this is a repeat of a recent question. I read
this newsgroup regularly, but just can't keep up with EVERYTHING! :-)
