While cleaning up the mess I've made on my linux system as of late, I
noticed that a good number of programs and C routines do not hve any man
pages associated with them. I partially resolved the latter by
downloading the BSD man page set from tsx-11.mit.edu, but there are
still some big holes.

Is there an official set of manpages available for linux, or can one use
the BSD manpages? If either case is true, where can one find them?
