Subject: [Q] Are 486DLC boards working now?

A short while ago, there was some discussion regarding the Cyrix 486DLC
chip. Boards with this chip have been known to work with Linux for some time.
It seems though, that the chip would need to have the internal 1k cache turned
on for really good results, and this was not always (usually?) being done.
Has this problem been resolved? Is there a small program that can be run
to toggle the required behaviour?. Also, I would be glad to hear from any one
who is using a motherboard of this type.
The boards are selling here for $260 CDN, and with 128K cache (0K RAM),
I'd really like to get one soon. Please e-mail me (I like mail :).
I will summarize if I get any "I want to know too requests".

                             Thanks very much in advance,

                                 Michael Caro.
