Actually, I think that it came from /etc/rc.local that hasn't been changed
to run /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 instead of /etc/rc.net. I can't remember exactly
where I made the change, but I had the problem also until I noticed that
rc.inet1 wasn't being executed. Reread the NET-2-FAQ once more, I think its
one of the last paragraphs in the section on editing the rc.inet1 file.
