For what seems to be the most updated source of information about the progress
of the project you can finger "fortran@gnu.ai.mit.edu" (you better direct it
through a pager or to a file).

According to this the latest private alpha test was released on May 20th and
from the comments there (almost in a ChangeLog level of detail) I get the
impression that they are entering an early "cleanup" stage, but that's my
private interpretation, I don't have any "inside" info about this.

(Just a note to remind people NOT to overload the machine with unnecessary
finger requests, I presume it must be busy enough without having to satisfy
people's "let's see if it works" games).
