From: pete@introl.com (Pete Ikusz) Subject: Bug in SCSI interface? (non device driver code) Date: 30 Jan 1993 17:57:09 -0600
It seems that my CP30100 does not work with either the Adaptec
1542B or the Future Domain 16X0 controller. This leads me to believe
that there is a problem with the outer level scsi code. (The drive
works perfectly fine on any other machine from Sun's to DEC's to
plain old peecee's.) Note: this only happens when the machine is
in TURBO mode... ?!?!?!!
Linux goes into an abort phase when booting, if I pull the power off
the drive the machine will continue booting.
My root disk is a IDE. But it does this whether or not the IDE is in
the machine or not.
The system is a 486SX-25, 8 meg RAM.
Is anyone else having a problem with Conner Drives?
The two Quantums I have tested seem to work fine!
I am starting to get frusterated with this to say the least,
can anyone offer any insight?
Regards,
-Pete
