OK, I have Linux running X and my Speedstar 24X semi-working together.
At 800x600, it's fine except for flickers in my display anytime something is
supposed to be displayed on the screen. This includes screen rewrites and mouse
movements. Does anyone have this mode fine tuned?
At 1024x768, the screen is horizontally out of sync in the center, but fine out
on the left and right edges of the screen.(ie. the X cursor looks like an X on
the edges of the screen, but at the middle it goes out of sync."shakes
horizontally")
BTW: All of this is done after I boot windows from DOS and set the video clocks
in windows then exit and warm boot.
Any help on either problems would be appreciated. I have a 486DX50 EISA,
Speedstar 24X, and a Viewsonic 7. My friend that has a lower grade monitor,
runs the 800x600 mode with no problems, is it my monitor?
